Conference: Decoration of Hellenistic and Roman buildings in Cyprus

The Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw, the Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures, Polish Academy of Sciences and the Artibus Mundi Foundation  have the pleasure to announce a conference entitled: Decoration of Hellenistic and Roman buildings in Cyprus. Residences at Nea Paphos and other cities of the region.

The main focus of the conference is the architectural decoration of buildings discovered by the PCMA mission working in Nea Paphos for over 50 years. Its presentation in conjunction with expert knowledge on the various types of decoration presented by specialists is intended to initiate discussions and further studies in the field as well as confronting the Polish mission’s finds with those from other sites.

The presentations will be held in English and French, and the papers will be published in 2017 in open access.
