The main objective of the season was the conservation and setting up a lighting system in the Northern Chamber of Amun-Re, the continued work in the Complex of the Royal Mortuary Cult, and the restoration and documentation work in the Main Sanctuary of Amun-Re, all in the Upper Terrace of the Temple. The restoration of the Complex of the Sun Cult was completed at the end of last season; the Complex is ready for opening for the public. The two Complexes were documented with application of 3D Scanning Technology. The method and the results of documentation were presented during lectures in the Museum of Mummification in Luxor and in the PCMA in Cairo. Statues of Hatshepsut, and related sculptures, sandstone painted sphinxes – moved from the Hasan Ali Storage Museum to Deir el-Bahari – were also a studied, as well as samples of different stones discovered in the precinct area.
