Conference on the archaeology of Armenia

A conference on the archaeological research in the Republic of Armenia will be held at the University of Warsaw. The event, co-organized by the Institute of Archaeology and the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, will be inaugurated by H. E. Edgar Ghazaryan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Poland.

The presentations will concern the results of an Armenian–Polish project, ongoing for three years now and managed on the Polish part by the PCMA and the IA UW. Results of other recent archaeological research in Armenia will also be presented, including work in the Syunik province and in Artashat, the Hellenistic-period capital of Armenia.
