Workshop “Arabian Red Sea Route”

The workshop will be held at the University of Warsaw on 3 July. It aims at providing an opportunity to exchange ideas on the ancient trade in the region in order to integrate Northern Arabia and its harbours into the network.
The workshop has been instigated by the PCMA Aynuna Project directed by Prof. Michał Gawlikowski, and working in northern Hijaz in Saudi Arabia. It has brought together over a dozen presentations focusing on the results of recent fieldwork and issues related to ports and trade.
The Aynuna project founding from the Polish National Science Centre (grant UMO-2014/14/M/HS3/00795).
